*Dr. Shahan returned to the podium to make today's athletic announcements and mention that senior Alex Lehman is featured on the cover of ESPN's Rise Magazine.  He then read from The Old Farmer's Almanac for the month of September:  Moppets are mopin' as schools reopen.  Nights are crisp, and apples crisper; in the wind, there's just a whisper of what's coming.  Rain drumming, warm but steady, mutters, "Get ready."  He ended assembly, indicating there were a few minutes before first period -- "time to finish your summer reading!"
